Ah, spring weather has finally blessed the west coast, the rain has finally come to an end, and summer is right around the corner. That just means warmer weather and shorter hemlines over the coming months. However, I have come to realize that after 3 years of law school and not working out, my body is in no way, shape, or form ready at all to be seen by the public in all its pale and pasty glory.
I think it may amount to indecent exposure at this point.
I finally joined a gym two weeks ago in hopes of transforming the 2-liter bottle I call a stomach into the shapely six-pack I had from college... little did I know how difficult it would be to even start working out again. My younger brother has been going pretty regularly for the past few years and so I decided to workout with him and do his routine... bad idea. My endurance is at an all time low and two days after the workout I could barely move my arms. I have a feeling this is going to be a loooong road to fitness.
Has anyone tried a commercial tanning place ( a.k.a. fake n' bakes) before? I was actually considering going to a fake n' bake so I can get some sort of base tan going (Reminds me of the Friends episode where Ross goes to one... hilarious!!!). Yes, yes... how metrosexual of me, but I recall a trip to Vegas about 2 years ago where some attractive woman actually came up to me at the Hard Rock Hotel pool and said: "You really need a tan."
So yes... I was a bit shocked and embarassed by this interaction. Was I so morbidly devoid of color that even strangers needed to comment about my state of paleness? Suffice it to say, I ran into later on in the day and she asked me to put sunblock on her... go figure.
Hrmm... maybe I'll do some before and after pictures of my "makeover" progress, but I don't want to receive a ton of complaints about how my picture busted your monitors.
So how many of you have thought about diet or exercise plans in anticipation of showing a little more skin this season?
