BugTube: Be Annoying
Youtube has three bugs that seem to be permanent:
- On some videos, seeking is not possible (I guess that makes Youtube itself "New and Improved" for 2008)
- On videos that are seekable, seeking is only possible in random increments (~17 sec). This bug is as old as Youtube.
- It's 2008 and there are still videos whose audio is out of sync. Youtube help babbles on about codec issues, but I'm having a tough time believing that'd fix the issue. NEW AND IMPROVED FOR 2008: Some extreme cases of audio de-sync present as audio ending up to a minute before the video does!
I'm not optimistic any of these will be fixed. That second one should have been killed dead long ago and we should have frame advance in either direction, controlled with the arrows. Cause you know, if I could do something about the problem, that's what would've been done.
