If I'm reading it right, it looks like the USA wants to
redefine parts of the Geneva Conventions, which was international law last I heard, by passing US legislation. Can we even do that and have it stick?
Terrorists have the right to stay in jail, yes, but I think we should be reasonable about due process. It looks to me like the current administration wants sufficient tools which enable them to show the public they're "doing something" while coercing testimony out of lots of innocent people.
