Well. . .
Today was lonely for some reason I can't put my finger on. I needed lots of motivation to do anything. I guess the fact that the gentoo install on my workstation wasn't going so well had something to do with it. Another reason is the fact that I have to be at some staff meeting at 08:00am on Monday. I'm going to be a bowl of hell, I'm sure.
I finally got the kernel to stop crashing, and it's now building GNOME. The pisser is, I downloaded and wrote the Reference Platform just so I wouldn't have to spend all week "emerge"ing everything! Turns out that my hardware's too new to be stable with the ISOs. Other than this brouhaha, I'm pleased with gentoo. It really requires a fast internet connection and a fast CPU to fully appreciate, though.
Anyway, since I'm on the subject, and I'm not too sleepy yet, another "poll" for the masses of fans (go ahead, laugh):
