she's gone

I had her for 15 years
she curled up to me every ngiht
comforted me when I cried
chewed on my pen while I tried to write poetry

she had sass and spunk and she was my best friend

and now she's gone

we took her to the vet
and she said
*she's a special cat..most don't vocalize their pain like she does.. she obviously loves you*
if she only kenw how special

they said they woudl do a work up on her and call us back later int he day

30 minuteslater she called
said ti looked liek cancer and it was best to put her down

she said she would call back in about 15 minutes when she had the IV in

she called back 5 minutes later
and said she died whiel they were trying to get the IV in

I don't know what to do with myself

to most she was only a cat
to me
she was my best friend since I've been 3 years old

the only constant companion
the only one to ALWAYS be there
and ALWAYS be happy to see me
she protected me
she loved me

her personality was so much like mine
strong on the outside
but fragile on the inside
she had a big heart
but even bigger claws

god I'm goign to miss her so much
