I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Also, have a Happy New Year! Preemptive? Yes, because I'll be in Bangkok on December 31st. In a few hours I'll be in a van on my way to JFK. We fly forward in time to Pu Dong airport in Shanghai. After 8 hours I get on another plane to Bangkok where we stay until January, then we go to Chiang Mai and Finally to Mae Sot. It's going to be quite an adventure. I've had a lot of people tell me to be careful, haha, I will be. I've been told to have some fun on the trip as well, we'll see if I can fit that in. If you'd like a general idea of what we'll be doing, check out the trip's website and blog. So I'll be away until Monday, the 10th, when I get back at around 4 am. My first class is that Tuesday afternoon and I have two more Wednesday morning, but after that, I will be free to tell anyone and everyone how the trip went. The trip leaders mentioned something about internet cafes in Bangkok we can go to, so I'll try and make it to one, but if not, you all be safe and have fun over break! For those Hokies who will still be around that last week before classes, let me know if you're still in town when I get back so I can see you before the semester starts! I'll miss you all, and be thinking of you a lot. See you in 2010 everybody!
