It's been about seven months to the date since UMPC portal has found more news to post about the viliv S7. I am absolutely in love with this little machine, especially now that I've seen the video and have confirmation that the battery life is what viliv has promised (between 5-7 hours depending on what you're using the S7 for). This newest video features Chippy playing around with the S7. Lots of the software wasn't working and apparently the user interface wasn't quite finished either, but you can still get a good feel for what the S7 will have to offer when it's finished. Small, compact, light, the touch screen worked flawlessly (though, is it just me or was the model squeaking as he swiveled the screen?) the keyboard looks great and I actually really love where they put the touchpad. I'm not a big fan of touchpads but at least they didn't stick it all the way below the keyboard, kudos guys, you have teh smart. I like the interface so far, i won't be sorely tempted to muck around with it like I have with my laptop. It also has GPS! hurray! I could really use a GPS device and when the S7 does finally come out, I'm not getting one until I see how well the GPS works. I think I'd still be extremely tempted to get an S7 even if the GPS isn't that great but maybe wait until they improve upon it. As time goes on, viliv must be getting closer and closer to putting the S7 on the market, hopefully more videos will be out soon - and a price!
