What Pan Walther did with great care by hand & with smelly chemicals, I can nowadays do with some picture editing program and a working knowledge of histogram curves. I had been wanting to try for a while; when I took a walk with my mum this evening, I took some pictures with my new camera (which is neither new nor mine), then frobbed the results a bit, and here we are:
