But you have a Democrat government? In the US, I mean -- in Texas, you of course have a Republican one.-

This whole debate frustrates the hell out of me. The solution seems so simple, it's right there!, and yet...fighting, bickering, "YE SHALL NOT PASS"-ery continues. There are times I really, really hate my country. (And the planet too, as whole, at others, I just want to move to Mars already.)

The Nazgul, who does eBay business, has already noticed that mail to and from the US hat got a lot slower.-

My Dad and I still continue to send our bills out the old fashioned way. Is it a bit more trouble to run by the post office to get stamps? Yeah, but there's piece of mind (we are perhaps a might too concerned about hacking and virus and information getting in the wrong hands, yes, it can happen through regular mail too, but it's seems so much easier over the web) and, hey, we're supporting our local postal carriers too.

Yes -- small business, like they said in the article.

Fucking hell, do they want to plaster the world with Wal-Marts and leave the rest to Amazon? Small businesses, long tail trade, and rural settlement close to nature all need the postal service.
