I love how cold it is here... Kinda.
ok, not really. I actually hate it. What I do love though is how everyone is talking like this will be the winter that everyone will be talking about for years to come. Thats exciting. thats my first winter. so far 4 straight days bellow 0. Yep, for all you georgia people, that when you temperature on your little digital read out has a little dash in front of it. E.G. -4 or -10 or the best one ive seen so far -14. Oh and of course, that is the actual air temperature, not the wind chill. Factor in the wind chill and you get things like -20, and the best on Ive seen in the wind chill department is -29. Supposedly at one point it was to -30, but I missed that one. This is the kinda weather where despite the three pairs of pants (long underwear, jeans, and sweatpants), despite five layers on top (tee shirt, longsleeve button up, sweater, fleece/wool combo hoddie, huge ass millitary inspired insulated parka thingie), despite two pairs of gloves and two pairs of socks, and despite a scarf wrapped around your head untill only you eyes are visible, you still lose feeling in your fingers and toes, convulse uncontrollably, and feel the eerie sensation when your nose hairs freeze together. This is the kinda weather that separates to locals from the the newly moved and the tourists. And let me tell you, I am definintly a newly moved and you can tell. Im told that locals dont complain about the weather, which is true for the most part. They just stay inside. but I dont stay inside, cause there are things I gotta do, like work, or drink, or chase that cute boys frantically down the street. I think he is cute. I mean, all I can really tell is that he has cute eyes, the rest of him is a boxy combination of wool and synthetic insulation. There for I complain. I mean, complaining is truly the key to solving every problem right? If you complain enough youre bound to find a solution. And thats the moral of this story. Its fucking cold and I never knew that I would one day not be able to wait for a sunday in february when the weather will be a beautiful warm 25 degrees!! Complaining is the answer, I mean, ive been complaining for some time, if only silently to myself, and it looks like Im about to get some results!
The cold makes me feel alive!
