An Hindu Prayer

A Hindu Priest offered the opening prayer in the Senate recently, but of course some people were outraged, apparently because they think the Hindu version of god is not "monotheistic."

Of course, Brahman is viewed as the "divine reality," of which all the other "gods" are merely representations of Him (one professor I had explained them as "signposts pointing to God). Hindus accept all religions as being "multiple paths to the summit," believing that there is only one god (whether you choose to call Him Yahweh, Brahman, Allah, "God," etc.). Thus, people can get worked up all they want, but in the end, they are fighting over the same being (at least that's how I see it)...
