1) My iTouch, which is capable of showing me TV shows, dies on day four of the monthlong trip to Australia.
2) My TiVo dies while I am in Australia, which I discover upon my return.
3) My desktop, which had been threatening open rebellion for some months, cleverly makes its move while I am weakened by jetlag and the other entertainment losses. It still operates but will neither download nor play video, and it is running so slowly that streaming video is basically just some stop-action mockery.
4) My MacBook Air, which has no disk drive, kicks back and laughs at me.
5) I go to the Apple Store, make a decision about a new computer, but do not buy it immediately as I will need to bring the old desktop in for a transfer of files. At this time, I will also buy a device allowing me to have wireless at home and stop the MacBook Air from laughing at me, as well as allowing me to restart TiVo service in a more useful fashion than before.
6) But upstairs at the "Genius" bar, they inform me that there are no iTouches like my dead iTouch in stock; for me to get a replacement, they will have to special order it. This will take "some days."
7) There is no point in hauling myself to the Apple Store three times, so I am waiting on the iTouch delivery to get the new computer.
Result: ENTERTAINMENT DEADLOCK
So, let's do a meme!
You post a topic, list, category, whatever, in my comments section. (examples: "5 Times Sue Sylvester Tried E-Harmony", or "5 Ad Campaigns Peggy and Don Really Liked Working On"). Then, in comments, I'll post the answers to all your Top 5 ideas, according to me. Serious or fun! Then you post this offer in your own journal (if you like).
Keep in mind that I am behind on almost everything, due to ENTERTAINMENT DEADLOCK.
