"You could do better," Remus says, his voice muffled against her shoulder.

"No kidding."

".. what?"

"I've had other offers, you know." Men find the idea of a shape-changing girlfriend a turn-on, but most of them don't ask if they've got anything worthy to offer in return. Remus worries about it too much, but she likes him better for wanting to deserve her. Tonks smiles as her hair shifts to turquoise. "But I like you."

Remus knows what turquoise means. "Good lord. Again?"

"And again, and again -"

Older Remus may be, but he doesn't lack for stamina, thank goodness.
