This weekend, lyra_sena and I went up to Massachusetts to soak up local color for VBTF and also to just get out of town for a day. It was incredibly beautiful and felt like a much longer break from the city than it actually was. In short, the trip was well-nigh perfect except for the fact that I fell in the shower of the B&B and now my ass is broken.Well ( Read more... )

I live in Massachusetts, about three hours north of your fine city. I wish I'd known you were going to be in my neck of the woods; I would love to take you out for a meal or a coffee or a drink, or to have a glass of wine with you beside our fireplace! :-) So, y'know, next time you're up here, give a holler.

(Also, um, my sympathies on breaking your ass? Ow.)

I'm positive I'll be heading up that way again for more location scouting, so to speak, so I will definitely let you know!

My ass thanks you for your kind thoughts. I just wish I had someplace else to sit.

You just killed me dead with the story about Jack and snowflake. Dead. All of them were so, so wonderful, and that one... *sobs* (but in a good way).

my ass is broken

I laughed harder than I should have at this. Sorry to hear you are experiencing discomfort. What other ambience did you pick up that didn't involve the B&B's bathroom?

A few things about the town, though not as much as I'd hoped in that regard, but we also took a walk out on a trail and got a look at the countryside, the various plants and scenery and sounds and such, that will come in handy.

At least my pain gives you mirth. Wow, I can't believe Tokyo is next week!
