New York: Day 2
So how come no one ever told me my grandfather knew Japanese?!
Here's a few pictures I've taken thus far. I've really taken like a hundredish. But not really. A lot though. I'm pretty camera-crazy with my new camera. Okay so yesterday morning at 5 a.m. my aunt, grandmother, and two cousins(Dani and Kelli) all piled into my sister's accord to head towards New York. There's a cat by me now. So my sister, Allana, flew up here a couple weeks ago and originally she was going to stay here at my aunt's for the summer, but she isn't. She and I are going to be driving her car back to South Carolina sometime next week, and the rest of the crew are renting a thing. Today and yesterday were mostly uneventful, today we went to some aquarium in Riverhead and to where my family grew up and some stupid outlet stores that sucked. Especially because Reebok didn't even have any ice creams! But apparently that deals over with or whatever, so it makes sense. Probably not to you though. Tomorrow we're going to the Museum of Natural History. That should probably be cool. I don't really know how this trip is going to go. I miss people and stuff. I'm not used to being around my family this much. Hey but check this out. Like two days ago was my dad's birthday and I don't really know my dad very well, but I talk to him on the phone pretty often now. But yeah so it was his fiftieth birthday and he told me tomorrow(yesterday) was my grandma's birthday. She turned 81. And yeah so I called her and we talked for a little while, and I didn't know this but she's the reason I have my name. Because my dad's name is Joe and his dad's name was Joe and his dad's name was Joe and my dad has a son from another gal... and yes, his name is Joe. Original, huh? But yeah so my grandma was telling me that my dad asked her what he should name me and she said "Michael." I think it's pretty suiting. I mean I guess it is. I'm pretty bored right now. We played pictionary earlier. That was fun. My aunt was supposed to be guessing me drawing Central Park and for part of it I was drawing NY but she kept saying Texas and it looked nothing like Texas! Yeah so anyway I might go see my grandma while I'm here because she lives in the Hampton Bays or something like that. I'm kinda excited since I've never met her. My brother guy lives in the Bronx, I might end up seeing him, but I'd guess not. We'll see. It's kind of uncomfortable how I'm sitting to use my sister's laptop(we're stealing internet from the neighbors), so I'll go now. Hey kitty cat!
