The French Mistake

Okay so this one … Just wow :D
I can’t say there was a lot to go over and analyze.
The boys are at Bobby’s and Balthazar shows up claiming that Raphael has a hit list for anyone who has so far been enlisted on the Castiel side during the angelic civil war. So, yeah it is never a good thing to have an Archangel’s hit man on your ass.
After pushing the boy’s through Bobby’s window, the boys get up to realize they are on a soundstage. They are no longer Sam and Dean Winchester but Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. From there the shit seriously hits the fan.
Sam: "..Should we be killing anybody?"
Dean: “ I don’t think so.”
Sam: “Running?”
Dean: “Where?”
So yeah, between interviews and makeup artists the boys realize what is going on. The few hundred Impalas sort of sends Dean over the edge, along with the realization that he was on a soap opera and that he apparently wears makeup.
Dean: “Oh crap. I’m a painted whore.”
From that point we meet, Misha Collins, who is insane, as we all know and love him to be as well as his obsession with Tweeting. Which was made all the better with the fact that as the show was running Misha was updating his Twitter to match what he was suppose to be Tweeting during the episode.
We see Jensen’s trailer and Jared and Genevieve's home. Of course, Gen scares the fuck out of the boys considering the Ruby resemblance.
"You married Fake Ruby!" - Dean
The hit man angel breaks his way though and everyone soon finds out that magic does not work in this AU.
The angel kills Misha, bleeding him dry in an attempt to contact Raphael but it fails, the boys try a spell to get home and again it fails. The hit man angels is believed to be an extra by the stage crew so when Sam/Dean/Jensen/Jared start beating the crap out of him it sends up a red flag. Later he gets a gun and starts shooting …
Eric shows up and we hear from Sera, it was great; everyone made fun of themselves between how dorky they were, their 10 gallon fish tanks in their trailers and the self-loving pictures of themselves all over the place.
In the end we find out that Castiel is alive and well (though we can’t say the same for Misha 0_o ). Anyway, he was behind it all, working with Balthazar and though he is sorry to have put the brothers through all that, it could not be helped and he will explain later.
Another highlight, Raphael is in a female vessel and Castiel now has all the weapons of heaven that Raphael was after.
All and all everyone including Sera and Eric make fun of themselves and the episode was generally just enjoyable and a lot of fun. I can say that it was by far one of my favorites. It didn’t leave much to the angst of the show which was a nice break from how heavy it had been lately and it didn’t leave us with too many mind numbing questions.
The show ends with Sam saying the famous
“Well, at least we’re talking.” Which of course was an ongoing joke throughout the episode whenever anyone was speaking to the two boys.
Questions of the week:
Not many, mostly just … Castiel, spill about this freaking civil war already would ya?
How did Bobby react to his window being busted? 0_o
