Is it my imagination or does there seem to be a distinct lack of holiday spirit this year? I know I'm having a hard time mustering any- I haven't even set the tree up, and I usually do that in the first week of December. I'm kind of just waiting for it all to be over with. I thought it was just me.

What with being away from home/preparing to move... plus my stupid paper that is not going well... plus the fact that I still have scads of shopping to do (and it's time to break out the riot gear before heading to the malls)...
And only a week to do it all.

I just want to hide under my covers and wait for it to be all over.

Between the fact the snowstorm hit Victoria at the same time that most people prep for the festive season, and with the windstorm taking out power to stores and homes, this took the wind out of the sails for most people. Even our own effort of holiday spirit has been a bit rushed.

It was also anticipated to be a very busy christmas season and with the weather, I'd think it won't go crazy until the later part of this week.
