1. Name a (few) book(s) or comic(s) that you feel people generally highly overrate.

A Complete Guide to Heraldry by Arthur Charles Fox-Davies. With all the available sources of *period* heraldic art, why are people still cutting and pasting from this book? Not to mention that it is also full of misleading and outdated ideas about the history of heraldry.

...and a (few) book(s) or comic(s) that you feel people generally highly underrate.

Flatland, by Edwin A. Abbott. Social satire on sexism and class prejudice combined with a very effective math lesson. Really, what more do you need?

Druid's Blood by Esther M. Freisner. A Sherlock Holmes-ian story set in an alternative Britain that was never invaded by the Romans, or anyone after. One of my favourite books.

2. Name a (few) movie(s) or TV show(s) that you feel people generally highly overrate.

CSI: Miami. In the Vegas version, all the characters are interesting, and the show spotlights all of them. The only Miami character I find at all engaging is Calleigh Duquesne, and the show only spotlights Horatio "Expert Marksman/Wise Counsellor/Bomb Defuser/I Can Do Anything Better Than Anyone" Caine.

...and a (few) movie(s) or TV show(s) that you feel people generally highly underrate.

Gremlins.

The Girl From Tomorrow. An Australian young adult TV series with a very well done time-travel based story.

3. Name a (few) song(s), album(s) or band(s) that you feel people generally highly overrate.

Green Day. I don't dislike them- I won't necessarily change the station if they come on the radio or anything- but I really don't get all the fuss.

...and a (few) song(s), album(s) or band(s) that you feel people generally highly underrate.

Blueberry Boat by the Fiery Furnaces. Probably more underknown than underrated, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. It manages to be both catchy and epic.

4. Name a (few) food(s) that you feel people generally highly overrate.

Vegetarian Pizza. I like many vegetarian dishes, but for some reason I can derive no gustatory satisfaction from a pizza lacking in meat.

...and a (few) food(s) that you feel people generally highly underrate.

KFC's Big Crunch sandwich. Really the best fried chicken sandwich out there.

5. Name a (few) actor(s) that you feel people generally highly overrate.

Hmmm, aside from the obvious "getting by on their looks" crowd, I'm having a hard time with this one. Oh, I know: Brian Dennehy has bugged me in pretty much anything he's been in. For that matter, so has Nick Nolte.

...and a (few) actor(s) that you feel people generally highly underrate.

Jenna Elfman. I really enjoy her as a comic actor; it's too bad her new series sucks.
