Stuff want/need to get done over the summer vacation...

I’ve been thinking a lot about the coming summer recently mainly because I’m really hoping to get a job at Biehoff Music in Wauwatosa. After all it can be used as an educational experience, especially if I decide that I don’t want to be in music education and decide just to be music major with a business minor. And what is more fun than working in a music store all summer? It’s a hell of a lot more fun than working as a lifeguard and watching the ghetto children of Milwaukee’s North Division High School, my bad…it’s not North Division anymore…it’s something entirely different. WHATEVER! The point is I really would rather not work as a lifeguard for MPS Recreation anymore. Although I will still attend the in-service just so I can stay CPR/AED certified so I can get a job as a lifeguard in Marquette during the school year.

I’m also excited because I recently found out that my dad is going to Italy for business. It’s really exciting news, but I do admit that I’ll be unhappy while he’s gone just cause well…he’s flippin’ awesome…and who else will there be for me to watch anime with? *tear* But I suppose the souvenirs make up for his time away.

I’ve decided to take lessons from my former trumpet instructor Dr. Pat Backhaus. Last summer I didn’t really improve…and I didn’t really get worse…and I really want to become a better player so lessons were the way to go and who better than someone who knows who I am and how I play. It’s definitely going to be a summer of my ass getting kicked back into shape. After all…I suppose it’s about time to get serious about what I’m doing right?

Also this summer my dad said he’s going to get me driving lessons so I can finally get my driver’s license, which is severely over-due. I’m excited and I’m nervous about it. Excited because I’ll finally be able to drive myself places, have my own car, and be free of my parents. I’m nervous because I’m afraid of failing. A logical fear if you ask me. But I’ve been told by multiple people that it’s a super easy test. *shrugs*

Ah well…I’ve said enough already…
