Wow.. this thing is fun. After the HNM blitz we decided to go try this out. EPIC.
We had the entire linkshell in there, 35 people total. We did Rosswiesse Chamber, and it had Bats, Worms, and a Amertat(Morbol) boss.
We pulled the bats first and in came about 20 of the things at once. We had four bards overlapping lullaby + the BLMs throwing out sleepga to try and control them all. Managed to kill them all off in about 7 minutes or so.
Then there was a ring of about 15 worms around the boss, but still out of aggro range. We killed all but 6 of those before the boss aggroed someone. The tanks tried to kite while we finished off the last worms. When the last worm fell we got the 10 minute warning.
For the next 10 minutes we beat the hell out of that morbol, 2hrs, everything we could throw at him. At time out, we had him at 52% health, and had inflicted well over 100k damage(. For anyone that's going to try him and you get the same mob set, bring poison pots to counter sweet breath, cause he will use it a lot with 35 people on him. Also might want to bring meds for bad breath as well.
RDMs pretty much have to spam dispel on him cause of vampyric lash. I saw Protects, Madrigals, Minuets, Defender, RERAISE, all of it got dispelled. Not sure if it took food or not from the tanks.
Speculation is.. there's some sort of trick to him, there has to be if they expect you to clear the zone. Narshe said he saw some monster pop that was different than the bats and the worms that started with a M, perhaps killing it weakens the boss. Other things could be that all those worms need to be killed before the boss is aggroed kinda like the wyverns and Nid in Apollyon NW.
All in all though, I approve. Next time I think we'll let a nin/drk tank him instead of pld/nin and pld/war so it doesn't get quite so many defensive buffs. Melee damage was pretty low, highest WS I saw was a 660 Sidewinder I believe. Magic damage was comparable to sky gods, but resist was much, much lower. There's probably no good way to set up a SC+MB with that many people, so we'll have to play around with it and see.
Lemme know your experiences!
