I've seen on a forum this phrase: to "go apesnot over something"?

What's apesnot?

I've looked on all internet dictionaries I know, and nothing! I did find this word on blogs etc, but all in the same context, so I still have no idea what it is. It is probably some American slang.

Does anybody have a clue?

Try searching for "apeshit". Snot is the same idea as shit, only from a different body cavity, and less offensive. :-P
