Less than happy news

I want to thank all of you for your opinions on whether I should take the trip to Holland. I'd meant to post before now that you'd helped me to make my decision. If the opportunity came I would definitely be on the next plane out of Canada

Most of the sites I generally use when looking for flights have the taxes listed underneath the seat price. Which I think all sites should have to do! Although why they feel the need to try and make their seats look cheaper I'll never know.

I'd bet though, that they expect everyone to read said 'find print' so they're not responsible for any confusion. It definitely seems like sites that display the taxes on the first page [before you select anything] are few and far between.

I did however find a promising site this morning where the round trip ticket is $464 with only $96 in taxes. Everywhere else I found had either another $400 or a much more reasonable $300 [/sarcasm] ^_~

Believe me, I'd love to go for it! But this trip was/is something I never even would have considered if Alwin hadn't offered to buy me the ticket. In my present financial situation any trip is impossible.

Having agreed on $200 for the pillow, I was already worried about him spending to much on me, so when I emailed him about the costs I didn't want to tell him that I'd made my decision that I would be going. I didn't want him to feel he then had to follow through.

I figure he was hoping to find a ticked under $400, which means the one I found today is still too much.

*sigh* if I can't have the Tardis, why can't money grow on trees without loosing value? I promise to use my money wisely.
