My ears hate me!
I think they've always resented me for all the holes I've put in them but the last few months have been hell.
'Why don't you just take the bloody things out?'
I'm stubborn, not to mention I hate change with a passion!
The only thing left that I could try was switching over to pure gold, and I decided to go with Labret studs, so I couldn't have the backing aggravating my stupid ears. Of course switching over is a slow process 'cause the earrings are expensive. But the two holes I've switched over so far are doing great! Unfortunately it would seem that the other holes are now seriously jealous.
I've got three holes [two right one left] making sleeping miserable, I was positive I'd get a little relief today when my next labret stud came in the mail. Much to my shock and disappointment, it didn't show up.
Needless to say I wasn't looking forward another weekend like this. Which got me thinking, why now? Why am I having this problem now? The studs that my ears were pierced with are surgical steel platted in 24K [so they should be happy] but I was wondering if the platting might have worn off some in these particular holes so I switched out the studs with extras that either haven't been worn or are relatively new.
I'll tell you, I noticed a difference immediately so here's hoping this will buy me a little time and make sleep a little easier. *fingers crossed*
