AN: This idea hit me a complete random. I've been hoping for another idea for days now with no luck. But I guess a really bad day put me in the right frame of mind. Enjoy!

“What’d you think?”
Peter’s question brought Neal’s mind out of the forged document he’d been carefully examining. The first thing Caffrey noticed was the broad satisfied smile on the agent’s face.
“About what?” he asked back placing the folder on top of the pile at the edge of his desk.
Peter only smiled wider unbuttoning his suit jacket.
Neal’s eyes left his partner’s face only to stare in abject horror at the agent, who-although he didn’t understand fashion-Neal believed had better sense than this. The art thief shudder his mouth slightly a gape but he snapped it shut. “You’re kidding,” he stated flatly.
Agent Burke’s smile slipped a little but never left his eyes. “No, what’s wrong with it?”
Caffrey tore his eyes away, placing an elbow on the edge of his desk so his hand could shield his peripheral vision from the abomination hanging like a gleaming lantern from Peter’s neck. “I…I can’t even look at you.”
“It was a gift,” Peter defended.
“Elizabeth has better taste than that,” Neal shot back. “Isn’t there a dress code at the Bureau?” he demanded of Jones as he strode across the bullpen.
The agent laughed. “You don’t appreciate this Caffrey?” he asked pointing towards Neal’s forced blind spot.
“No surprise this would appeal to the lowest common denominator,” he breathed out a sigh, shuddering again at the thought of post-impressionist art being immortalized on a tie.
“I got you one,” Peter said as though he was making a peace offering.
Neal refused to look at it. “You know I’m just going to burn it.”
Peter laughed and Neal wouldn’t have been the least bit surprised if this had been the point all along.
