The Good: the wireless keyboard I ordered to use instead of Toboe's came in the mail today. I'm quite thrilled with it. The trackball is responsive [I was a little concerned about a trackball over a touch pad] the set up for the keyboard is great, though its going to take a little time for me to get used to it. Actually in the short time I've been typing this I've become a lot more comfortable. Huzzah \o/
now for
The Bad: A week or so ago, I suddenly felt like picking up my Murphy cross-stitch commission and getting a little work done on it since it is a commission. Though no one is breathing down my neck for completed work so all is right in my little world that way at least. [not so bad you say? Just give me a minute]
I'd originally started Murphy on Feburary 1st only stitching this much
But I wasn't sure I'd left myself enough room for the pattern to be easily framed.
So I moved to the other side of the fabric and started over
I made it this far into my restart when I realized that I'd accidentally used the wrong color.
Both DMC: 3021 and 3031 were supposed to be used in this section but somehow in my brain's 'awesome thought process' I managed to use 3031 when I should have used 3021. *sigh*
I don't have all that many options at this point. Stitching over-1 on 32ct is really too tiny and fiddly to cut out the wrong stitches and put the right color in. So I'm left with starting over again [doesn't bother me as much as you might think] or stitching 3021 where 3031 was supposed to go.
The colors aren't identical by any stretch of the imagination but both colors are similar to other colors are ready in this part of the pattern so I might be able to get away with it. At the very least I'll stitch the other color in and see how it turns out, if it doesn't work well restarting is the only other option.
But for now I'm stepping back refocusing on Whiskers and wishing that I was able to write again, 'cause I'm really enjoying the setup of this new keyboard.
