well that didn't take long
Me thinks pw_pw will be short lived as I'm just a very twitchy person, and just about always leave myself signed into LJ so I'm constantly having to sign in and out to make use of either journal. And that's a little more effort than I generally want to make.
I won't delete the journal 'cause who knows my opinion might change or the world could explode, in either case it doesn't cost me anything to keep it around. I suppose the alternate course would be to start a different blog altogether but I'm not sure if I'm even interested in that ^_~

Edit: I took my hard drive down to the local computer repair to see if setting the jumper pin would make the difference. Unfortunately that didn't [and I can't say I'm surprised]. The computer guy seemed to think that the problem might be with the hard drive itself. I'd like to think that isn't possible, but with computers you never know and if I'm in the mix the chances are even higher, after all I do murder their babies. I left it with him, he's going to see if he can't get it working.
If the hard drive is pooched I'm not all that worried as I can always buy an internal hard drive one of these days and turn it into an external with my case. It's actually cheaper to go that way, I could get myself a 1T for about $90 add that to the cost of the enclosure and I'm still coming out ahead.
