Failure!

It would appear as though I'm full of epic amounts of fail.I blame my OCD entirely for what happened.

I was working on my mystery cross-stitch, when a section of my stitches began to look fussy to me. I hate it when this happens, 'cause it may actually be noticeable or I'm just way Way too picky about these things. Well this section wasn't going to leave me alone until I tried to fix it, which was the bad idea.

This pattern was my first time ever working on evenweave not only that but I was stitching over-1 on 28ct. I noticed early on that pulling thread wasn't exactly easy to do, add to that, that several of the colors I needed to use were very similar to color of the fabric and that's a recipe for disaster.

So here it is, I was trying very hard to finish the first blossom so I could post a picture of it along with the photo I created the pattern from.

Even if I could salvage the material I'm not sure I would seems to me like it'll be a lot less frustrating to just start over. So that's what I'm doing.

Here I'll give you a closer look at the damage

I know most people would probably walk away from the pattern for awhile, work on something else. But my brain [such as it is] won't let me think about anything else until I've restarted this one. So after confirming that the linen neekabe got me would have room for both this pattern and the one of Peggy's Cove that I had planed from the beginning, at least I don't have to wait for fabric to come in.

I'd have to say that I've had a lot of good luck when it comes to stitching so although I was really frustrated about this earlier I'm rather meh! about it now.
