this kitty has happy feet!

Want to know how much I love my daddy? I'll give you a hint, its a lot!

I noticed this morning that I was having trouble with my left elbow, which hasn't happened before. It didn't take me long to realize that it was more than likely caused by my new Q-snap frame that neekabe got for me. I figure it's because its wider than my hoops which means my arm has to move more to get at the needle on either side.

The fact that my joint acted up so quickly was more than a little concerning, I don't have plans to stop stitching any time soon, in fact I keep coming up with more patterns I want to do. The last thing I want is to have to stop because of tendinitises. And while wearing a wrist brace has helped the tendons in my left hand there isn't much I could do for my elbow. I began searching for a frame stand that I could buy so I could stitch with both hands and see if that would help.

I brought this up with my dad because of all the stands I'd seen I was worried that I'd run into the same problem getting the clamp tight enough to hold the frame as I did with the scroll frame I bought. Dad thought we'd probably be able to rig something together, which I was really happy about. Making it would mean I don't have to wait for it to arrive or pay for shipping and so long as the materials came in under the cost of the cheapest stand I'd been looking at, we were golden.

And this is what we got. *warning!* shuffles Whiskers is visible in both pictures. So I'll give you general description.

So we had this completely rigged up in about and hour and its absolutely perfect! the arms are adjustable as are the hinges so it should accommodate just about any size pattern. Hurray for happy feet!

I love the fact that he can do this, get an idea in his head and create it out of stuff. I had no idea what he had planned but then I can't picture in my head so when he was trying to describe it I didn't have any grasp of what he had in mind. But this is brilliant!
