TOBOE SURVIVED!!!
This is one resilient little laptop, I didn't come across a single problem on start up, none of the keys feel sticking [am glad I drink diet] I've backed up all the important stuff onto my flash drive so if something does happen in the next could of days I'm still covered.
Will be going in early to renew my insurance policy too, I don't want to fall into any unforeseen loop holes that might exist on the policy. It's been so worth having too. I think it started out at $30 a year, and I had to make use of it twice, so it's up to $69 [I believe] which is still well worth it.
I finally decided to get a new web browser I was going to go with safari since my sister showed me some of it's shiny qualities and I really wanted to have it. But apparently those shiny features don't work on my laptop...So we [I say we 'cause its usually my brother or sister who does these things, I prefer it that way] tried updating the video software on the lappy, also updated the touch pad hardware which hadn't been done since I bought this lappy all those years ago.
Still safari didn't work for me, so I decided to go with google chrome since my brother seems to like it a lot.
Oh! and I've decided I'm going to buy a computer program that will turn pictures into cross-stitching patterns. [which I realize now I may or may not have already mentioned] It's the cheaper way to go. A company online will do it for you but their lowest price is around $85 and this program will be $65. I want to be able to cross-stitching pictures of both my mum's and sister's kitties. My sister and I are exchanging craftiness ^_^ I'll cross-stitch Dodger for her and she'll knit me a blanket.
I'll be going with
this program as the company that sells it gives you 6 months to decide if you like it or not. Also my sister read some positive reviews, and most importantly it doesn't have WIN in the title! [I have had major issues in the past with computer programs that contain the word 'win' in their title so I'd like to avoid them on principle]
