Iron Graveyard

Author's Note: See this is what happens to me when I attempt to fall asleep when I'm not really tired. I get struck with ideas. So here's another companion to both Just a Shell and Knowledge to Fill the Void but again I believe it stands on its own. I hope you enjoy this perspective on Bobby's life.

Nice. I've often wondered about why Bobby's still in the same house as he'd lived in with his wife, what he'd been before, and why he turned the place into a junkyard.

Thank you! I like the fact that Bobby has been in the show since the end of season 1 and we still know so little about him. Thanks again!

The line in Yellow Fever, where Sam was surprised that Bobby knew Japanese (interesting that he was surprised, given Bobby's general status as the Fount of All Knowledge tm).

Bobby's reply, translated, is "Since before you were born." which seems to put his learning of that language in his pre-hunter days, if taken literally. Although I hear Jim Beaver was the one who came up with that bit, as he actually knows Japanese, so it might not have much to do with whatever ideas they've got of Bobby's history that they aren't telling us (assuming they have any...)

I absolutely loved that part! and thanks for the translation I'd wondered what he'd said to Sam.

I wouldn't mind pursuing a Bobby centered story, but I'm lacking the ideas at the moment and I've got something like 6 stories already demanding attention *sigh* One day he'll get the attention he deserves.

It's not my translation, it's from the SPN_Japan community - http://community.livejournal.com/spn_japan/11795.html
