I'm so glad you gave him another chance! I already know that I'm more than in love with Cameron Mitchel so when Jack leaves I'll be okay with that too! Cam is such a fan boy of SG-1 you can't help but love him for that ^_^
I'm really looking forward to Jonas gaining Jack's respect ^_^ and then of course I'm eager to see Daniel back in the show too, nothing can top the friendship that Jack and Daniel have, they bounce off each other brilliantly!

Oh don't get me wrong, Cam is awesome! I just... wished for Jonas, ha.
For me it's not the same show without Daniel, though. I STILL watch the original movie and love him so much, even when Michael Shanks isn't playing him.
I'll have to just add the show to my list, sigh. I still haven't watched the last season of Atlantis!
Neither have I, but it'll be coming to DVD in June and I'll be getting it then! I saw all of Atlantis [what was out on DVD at the time] first before seeing SG-1 and I was thinking to myself when I started SG-1
"Yay I'll finally get to see how it all started!"
Silly me, I forgot there was the movie originally. But I don't think I could ever actually watch it. I've seen screen shots of the actor who plays Daniel and he does look a lot like Micheal Shanks, but he isn't him and I don't think Kurt Russel could ever be Jack for me ^_~
I could be selling the movie way short, but I'm reluctant to give it a try.
I'm just really happy to know I like all the new characters that the show brings in. A lot of my friends were telling me it wasn't really worth watching the show after __ season [was a different number for each person] But I think I'll enjoy it right up to the end!
No, you HAVE to watch the movie, it's amazing! Seriously, I can't believe you haven't seen it! I just watched it last weekend and was struck by how freaking awesome it is. I might be biased though, because I've loved it since I was little. Kurt Russel is definitely no Jack, so that's a bit weird. He's a lot darker and brooding than RDA's Jack, all butch and serious. Well not entirely serious, he does have those silly one-liners like RDA. But no, it's really an awesome movie, and I always get chills when they dial up the gate for the first time.
If I had to pick a season where I thought things changed, it would be season 9, when Jack is no longer part of SG-1. But like I said, I love Cam and I still enjoyed it. And Vala, she's pretty awesome. I'm a die-hard fan though, and I'm sure you're the same way. ;)
