poor Miflin!

Not so sure what I think of this generic medication for Heero. He responded to it well enough the first couple of days but then he started acting very lethargic. Hardly interested in food, not meowing around the house like he usually does, just sleeping.

I was actually really worried the other day that I was going to wake up to find out he'd died during the night. Thankfully that didn't happen.

A little research by my sister found out that Fortekor [and the generic] can cause low blood pressure. We never had the problem with the Fortekor, but it looks like that could be what happened now. So I'm lowering his dose, he'll get one pill every other day and hopefully that won't cause any problems.

Fortekor can also cause a cat to feel hungry all the time, which both Heero and Chaz did while on it. There's also a chance it can lower their appetite, well the generic seems to be doing that, if it has to be one way or the other I'd prefer the less hungry. I feel really sorry for the two of them thinking they're hungry all the time.

I just gave Heero his next dose and now I'll have to wait and see what happens.

I never thought I'd actually want to hear him bellowing at me, but after the last couple of days that would be the most beautiful sound!

heero, worried, kitties, chaz, meds
