Dean wanted to believe, that he could protect his little brother from anything, but he wasn’t so sure he could save himself at the same time.*pets Dean* This reminds of the Christmas episode when Dean was obviously worried about his Dad, but Sammy's happiness had to come first. Dean doesn't get it right, but he's still a kid after all. This is so touching because Dean is just a little boy with too much responsibility.

I was actually a little worried that line would come off as too old for Dean. Perhaps a little too much foreshadowing into the show.
