With this chapter I felt the need to consult with people more in the know than I am about CPS, and I discovered that this story isn’t as true to real life as I usually like it to be. Wow! I enjoyed this story for all the good big brother-ness that Dean portrayed. He did all the right things and it must have been hard all those years avoiding CPS. I liked Dean's toughness to disregard his pain and protect our Sammy. Well written!
