just fanfiction
It's time once again, kiddies, fooooooorrrrrrrrrrr: abrupt!happy!ficrec!post!
Maybe it's pretentious of me to recommend a 「新世紀エヴァンゲリオン」 (or, as it's known to us English-speakers, Neon Genesis Evangelion) fic (mainly because I've seen all of one full television episode plus the butt-end of one of the "movies" [don't remember which, though I think it was End of Evangelion or whateverdafuck] at a friend's house and thought it was pure CRACK), but I somehow stumbled across this one a number of months back and just suddenly remembered it tonight, which resulted in me going crazy to find it. God bless Google, man, 'cause I just typed in "Kaworu/Shinji,fanfiction" and there, on the second page, was a link to the 18th chapter (HUZZAHFORLONGCHAPTEREDFANFICS) of the fic, whose title turned out to be Whisper. The plot equation goes something like this, if my shoddy memory is anything to go by (FYI: it's not):
rather alternate reality (the author advises the reader to assume it has nothing to do with the movies; claims that in her head it's a PWP romance and also that the story is a combination of two things she herself hates in fanfiction, namely: overdescription and useless character study) + Shinji living in America (working at a florist's, I think [?!]) + back from the dead!Kaworu + switching (but not in annoying way) 3rd-person POV + wheelchair-bound!Asuka + um, some other stuff I don't remember = Whisper, by twigcollins. ♥x5
Seriously, if you like Kaworu/Shinji (not that I know of anyone on my itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny, yellow-polkadot flist besides my beloved Darynita that does), go read it, 'cause it is t3h g00d li3k wh0a.
