Better late than never!!
I spent Christmas in Japan this year, and it was definitely different.

You could hardly tell is was Christmas, even in Shibuya, which had a few decorations here and there:

A week or two before the actual holiday, there was the work Christmas party, which was ... interesting, lol. It was weird being drunk around the students, that's for sure. With all you can drink, I suppose its expected.

Dude on the left kept pouring me beer all night, lol

Razor guy! He's cool- he works for Schick Japan and rides a motorcycle.

Some Chinese dessert I had time to photograph, but not eat.

Two crazy guys from Toronto, and a secretary from Mizonoguchi.

One of my favorite students <3
I'd have taken more pictures here, but unfortunately I was too bloody drunk ;__; I'm lucky I got home, lol

On Christmas eve, there was a big party at my guesthouse. It was really great- it felt like one big family! There was no drama whatsoever (thank god!!) and I spent the night conversing with lots of interesting people, from a variety of backgrounds.
Lets start with the food- there was a variety of foods, from all over the world.

AND TURKEY! (rare in Japan, srsly)

Here's me and Caroline just as everything was starting.

And the guys before they were wasted.

Then a horse showed up....

There was lots of singing

The grey haired guy is my landlord, Joe <--not his real name, haha

The kitchen was an exciting place too

Above: I'm pretty sure thats the shot glass someone put cooking oil in! lol, don't worry, no one drank it.

So many cool people, I just <3 them all:

G A N G S T A ! ! !

New years I spent at home in Buffalo, and there was no celebration- just some lazy video game playing- which I LOVED. I didn't take any pictures from that night, so here's one of my cat, instead:

This year, was the most untraditional holiday I've ever had. I got lucky, cause it didn't SUCK!!
