Now that Brenton is out of school, I officially have use of a car! HOORAY!!!!!
This experience has proven to me that I will never be a stay-at-home mom. Sure, I'll hang out with my future infants for their first few months, but not being able to leave the house drives me CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!
I just re-read this post and noticed how long it is, so I lj-cut this next section. Read if you care; it's not very exciting.
*Was rescued from my house by the wonderful Ronald
*Painted the most adorable elephant vase at Kil'n Time (I love painting pottery- it's fun, relaxing, makes me feel like I have a shred of artistic ability, and you get to keep your creation!)
*Went shopping and bought summer clothes. I really don't like to shop for clothes. Especially with my mom, because there is a certain point in time when I completely lose interest in trying on clothing (normally after about 30-45 minutes), and she has no concept of this barrier.
*Went to two really depressing family dinners.
*Saw Ice Age II (really cute) and The DaVinci Code (ok- I've never read the book, so bear that in mind, but I don't understand what people have been saying about the pacing. I liked that it was fast-paced, and thought the movie was really well made. I really liked it. I also don't understand what was in the movie that people were protesting, but whatever...)
In other news: the season finale of House is tonight, and I am both excited and deeply saddened. It had better be really good, because I think last year's finale and this year's Desperate Housewives finale had the same problem: they were great episodes, but they didn't have the "umph" of a season finale.
Speaking of TV shows: Does anyone watch Big Love? Because its a REALLY good show that has gotten to be a real nail-biter. If you've got time on your hands (and HBO), they're replaying all of this season's episodes before the finale on June 4th, and you should take a look.
And now, the best news of all, and the whole reason I set out to type this in the first place: MILENA (my roommate from NYU) IS COMING TOMORROW! See, now you have another incentive to come to my Tony party and meet my fabulous roommate!
She wants to go bathing suit shopping on Thursday (poor girl doesn't even know how to swim, but we're going to fix that REAL quickly!), and I'm gonna be honest and say that I get my bathing suits at Lane Bryant. Any suggestions as to where you little people buy suits? I figured Old Navy and Target would be a good start...
