You've always been a good singer, but I'm definitely amazed at how good you've become. Have you considered trying out for American Idol?

I actually did last season. People at the bar (karaoke night Saturdays!) convinced me to do it, and I was visiting my family in Mobile when auditions were in New Orleans. They told me I was too shy and needed to play up to the judges more, so I didn't make it past the first round (they eventually chose 30 people from 7,000). It was pretty cool to see how it all works, and I wasn't disappointed... I actually camped outside like they show on the TV show.
