The Vision was the only one who had been in this room before. Granted, most of the others had been locked in the old Avenger’s training room, but this one was…neater. Cleaner. Not filled with broken stuff

Cassie could practically feel the awkwardness and, from some, hositility. She looked at Tommy. Some speedsters could fly, temporarily, by spinning around or something, could he do it? If he could Cassie didn't think he looked very ready to volunteer that information. She turned to the others. Well, Hawkeye definitely knew Vision could fly. And Billy and Teddy, hmm...
She nudged Billy with her foot. "You could do that, right?"
"Yeah. I'm a flyer." Billy said, so totally not commenting on Hawkeye as a young Avenger. He'd been following the archer's career for at least six years, and there was no way in hell he was going to make any comment on his age. At all. Not happening. "In fact, I could probably fly us all there, if I needed to."
"Come on, let's go before Cap changes his mind or Iron Man comes up and tells us that we're not allowed to go." he said, removing his shirt and passing it to Billy as he grew a set of wings. Mm, more surface area for sunlight. Yesssssss. He stretched his wings wide, careful not to whack anyone else upside the head with them.
And there was the thing that made the day so much better. Shirtless Teddy.
"Just point me in the right direction and I can get the rest of us there." Billy said earnestly to Hawkeye, tying Teddy's shirt around his waist so he wouldn't loose it.
Cassie sighed. She would trade in her size changing powers for flying any day of the week. At least her dad got to fly on ants. Instead of focusing on that though, she smiled. The look on Billy's face when Teddy had taken off his shirt... that was priceless. Of course, if she had someone and they had taken off their shirt- oh great she was a bubble of happiness today. Once they were up in the air and off the top of this building that should go away though, hopefully.
One of these days, Kate was going to find a way to learn how to teleport or fly or something, just so she could go places on her own when it sounded like the people who couldn't were going to be crowded. Either that or she'd invest in vehicles with plenty of room inside, but possibly both and definintely as soon as was reasonable. She wasn't claustrophobic by any means, but Kate still wasn't as comfortable with sharing her personal space outside of a fight as she let on.
"[If Billy's disc gets too crowded, I would be happy to assist in the transportation.]" the Vision offered. [Provided that no one minds piggy-backing or something.] he amended mentally.
It occured to him that they ought to get Tommy a uniform - and a codename - of some sort. Less worry about someone seeing the "escaped juvinile mutant" and calling the police or something. And he was part of the team now, after all.
He took in the varying forms of confirmation around him, looked at the water, and did some quick mental judging. "I'll be able to cross on my own." He said, still not showing any emotion. Why take help if it wasn't necessary?
He looked at Kate. "I'd offer a lift, but I may end up in the water instead of on it if I'm carrying someone. Better ride with Billy to be safe."
"I appreciate the sentiment," Kate said. Now that she wasn't stuck on a hormone-induced emotional roller coaster she didn't mind as much that Tommy seemed to have taken an interest in her: Eli seemed content with Friend status and pining was for trees, so there wasn't any point in shooting down her other options before a legitimate reason presented itself.
In the meantime, it seemed like a good idea to consider the Vision's offer to carry someone. She was guaranteed to not have any personal space for the duration of the flight, but the lack of pheromones or something like that made her feel a bit less jumpy with him, so it would be okay.
Oh, the hell with inner monologues. More training! "I'll go with the Vision, no point in wearing Billy out with extra weight before we even get to the fun part." Kate checked to make sure the assortment of practice arrows were secured in the quiver she'd brought along, then slung it over her shoulder. Hopefully there'd be a chance for her to try her new bow out, too.
Cassie was trying not to scowl. She had been debating riding with Vision, after all it was more enjoyable than standing on a disc. Oh well. At least there wouldn't be any awkwardness involved. Still, she was not liking how the day was turning out. But so long as no one got kidnapped, it couldn't be that terrible.
"Well, guess Eli and I are with Billy." She said. Time to get this over with.
The Vision glanced over at Kate and extended his hand towards her. "[I assume that you would prefer something with a little more dignity than a cradle-carry?]" he asked with a bit of a smile. The piggy-back probably wouldn't work either; but Vision did recall seeing Iron Man carrying non-flight-powered members of the New Avengers. "[Arm across my shoulders, please.]" He draped his nearer arm around Kate's waist and experimentally kicked off, hovering less than a foot over the roof. "[Does this feel secure enough?]"
"Great! Transportation's all worked out then." Teddy said, making a mental note to keep an eye on Tommy in case the speedster started sinking. He could always snag the other boy and carry him or deposit him on Billy's glowy flight disc. The shape-shifter headed for the edge of the roof. "Want a lift down to the shore, Tommy?"
It felt a bit weird being carried that way at first, but Kate got over it when she saw Cassie shoot up like that night they'd first met and the guys wouldn't let them through.
"Huh. Looks like it's a good thing there are only two girls on the team after all. You want to switch, Cassie?"
Teddy carefully schooled his expression into neutrality. He was willing to let the two (chronologically, especially in Vision's case) youngest members of the team work out their mutual attraction without interference but that didn't make him blind.
It was part and parcel with the shape-shifting. Appearance was only half the game. When there was potential for evil, alternate-universe twins running about, you tended to look at mannerisms and behavior too.
The Vision mostly looked confused, at least from this angle. Teddy had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep from grinning.
Cassie was waiting for the proverbial hole in the ground to open up and swallow her whole. She put a hand to her face and resisted the urge to hit herself repeatedly. "I- maybe." She removed her hand from her face and glared at the others below her. "I'm PMSing, okay? This doesn't mean anything so don't jump to conclusions because it doesn't! Mean anything!"
Did it? No. No, it didn't. She wanted to feel more of a breeze than she would on Billy's disc thing. She was just overreacting like everyone on PMS did.
"Whatever you say, Cassie." Billy said with a small, sightly annoyed sigh. The disc was already spreading out around his feet, buzzing and glowing blue. He waiting for Eli to step onto the disc, hands on his hips. "I'm ready to leave, so please, make up your mind?"
She nudged Billy with her foot. "You could do that, right?"

"Let's go!" Cassie snapped. She balled her hands into fists.
Pain. Death.
Everyone else was shrinking. Why was- oh damn.
"Oops." She was over ten feet at the moment.
