OOC Note: This is a closed thread. Billy/Teddy only.
((Friday Evening, Avengers Tower))
Captain America hadn't said, exactly, that two juvenile boys (who just happened to be gay and seeing each other) rooming together wasn't a situation that was particularly condoned by Avengers moral values.
He would probably never say that out loud, Teddy thought. He was pretty sure that it had more to do with the fact that he and Billy were both sixteen than the fact that they were both guys. None of the Avengers had shown any sort of prejudice.
In his opinion, it didn't matter: maybe they were staying in the same room, sharing the same bed, maybe they were out and everyone knew about them but Teddy was completely convinced that the Tower was bugged, and there was no way he was going to have one of the Avengers listening in on or, God forbid, watching him and Billy.
If it wasn't for the events surrounding this past week and several conversations he wished had never taken place, he'd have found it frustrating that he was too aware of the Tower to engage in anything more than a couple of quick makeout sessions in briefly empty halls with no visible cameras. And Jarvis had even walked in on one of those.
Maybe that was why, when Friday morning's training session had ended, Teddy had found himself being pulled aside by Cap and told that his new room was ready for him. Not his and Billy's new room. His new room. It made sense that he was being moved up into the penthouse proper, if the Avengers intended to let him stay there indefinitely. The fact that it was practically on the other side of the Tower from Billy's room probably wasn't important. It was just strange to find himself engaged in folding his clothes on a too-neat, too-narrow bed in a bare room, alone after four days of being near Billy constantly.
Between the kidnappings, anyway.
Strange, but a relief at the same time. Billy had been busy with something involving Cassie, and Teddy had been able to grab his things without running into the mage, so he thought he'd have a couple of hours before his boyfriend found out where he was and that he'd been moved.
