The Devil's Due took up the first floor of an older building just on the edge of Mutant Town. The building had been there since the early 1920s, and the ice cream parlor had been there since 1973. The 12 floors above the ice cream parlor were apartments that nobody officially rented

The yell echoed throughout the store, startling the more sensitive of those present, breaking through what was surely imminent chaos if the situation were left to degenerate further.
Agamemnon Xanathos was not the tallest of men, but he knew quite well enough how to magnify his presence when necessary, and this situation -- with many more people teleported in than he had thought might appear, and most of them likely suffering from shock and exposure if not injury, if their visible condition was any indication -- called for someone to immediately take charge.
"I'm a doctor. Now, every one of you who can walk, and who is suffering merely from exhaustion from whatever idiocy you have been perpetuating, please move over to the east side of the shop and sit down in one of the booths." He announced loudly, made a wide sweeping gesture with one hand. "Those of you who are uninjured, help to move those who cannot walk or who to the west side booths so that I may check them over."
He crossed to Kate and Hawkeye, dark eyes appraising the girl's condition swiftly. "She is not the only person injured, so please, listen to me and do as I say," he said, addressing Hawkeye directly; if the man was who he said, then he should have experience in triage situations. "Argue after we knew who has the greatest need and who actually needs to be sent to a hospital." He only hoped that his mother had not been asinine enough to insist that they be brought back here if anyone was in immediate danger of dying, but one could never tell. Rowena had a different view from most of the rest of the world of what constituted immediate danger.
The girl did not appear to be in cardiac arrest, nor did she have any immediately visible burns from her electrical encounter; there were other, possibly unseen internal injuries, but with at least one gunshot wound present, and others whose clothing bore evidence of blood, and one too-familiar boy fallen unconscious, Agamemnon had little time to waste on her over.
"You were walking a moment ago. Forgive my lack of bedside manner, but others may be in more immediate need of help than you are. I promise I will be back as soon as I have checked."
Walking away from them, Agamemnon crossed the room towards the unconscious form of the boy he'd known since childhood, held awkwardly and with care by a mutant whose face he easily recognized from the newspapers. Of course he had not forgotten Rowena's call, the news that young Billy had decided to take on vigilantism as a career. He wondered what he was going to tell the boy's father about this; Jeff was going to have to know.
"Helena!" Agamemnon yelled towards the kitchen to his sister, not even waiting a moment for her to appear in the doorway as he continued to evaluate Billy, giving orders in a no-nonsense tone, "Get food, get water, have Cyrus get blankets for everyone. Uncle Abraham, please get that fool girl out of the kitchen and settle her down, she's not likely in any state to be handling any sort of cooking." Eliza's immediate retreat to go 'make tea' was no doubt a sign of shock.
Determining that the Kaplan boy was both breathing and visibly uninjured beyond being unconscious, Agamemnon turned to the rest of the youngsters. "What other injuries do we have? Who else is bleeding, and is it more important than a gunshot or electrocution? Given that all of you are either vigilantes, mutants, or witches, I can assume that you want to avoid going to a real hospital, and that is why I'm here, but there are things I can't do with just my little black bag."
((OOC: Forgive the overall length of this, but I'm going to assume that when told to shut up and cooperate by a doctor, everyone is going to be smart and shut up and cooperate. At least for a very short while, until the post is done. =P Now have at!))

The Vision realized that he was probably talking entirely too much, but it was a relief to have a doctor (who wasn’t an evil, magic-using, Nazi-bug) to help them. Such a relief.
“…Take good care of my friends.”
[I’m trying, Iron Lad. I won’t disappoint you.]

Abraham moved with the kind of speed old men shouldn't have, pausing only a moment to reach under the counter and drag Cyrus out by the hair before continuing to the kitchen. Rowena could hear the beginings of a fight between the old man and her granddaughter, which ended in a muffled squeek, and the sounds of heavy footsteps. The kitchen door banged open, and seven feet of muscle and scar tissue stomped out with Eliza over her shoulder like a sack. The creature... a woman, her face covered in scars and her build reminicant of a linebacker, opened her mouth and snarled at Eliza. "Stay put."
Agamemnon Xanathos was not the tallest of men, but his younger sister Helena more than made up for it. With a grunt, she practically tossed the girl into one of the booths on the east side and stomped right back into the kitchen, Cyrus trailing behind her like a puppy. Abraham let out a little sigh and carefully picked Rowena up, moving her to the opposite side. "Maybe next time you will wait for help, sister-sibling?" he asked gently.
Rowena snorted. "There wasn't time, you old fool."

He got to Eliza last, and tentitivly held out an old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cover to his cousin. She looked from it to the long haired albino, then back to the cover. Then she reached out, grabbing Cyrus by the arm, and pulled him to her. He made a noise reminicent of a rabbit just before being disemboweled by a hawk as Eliza put her arms around his torso.
"Just shut up and hug, you great big wuss." Eliza snarled.

"Well did Iron Man ever tell you what had happened to me? I should specify...what they thought happened to me. Ya see cassie, when Wanda's hex powers went completely out of it. Some of us had lost complete control of ourselves in the area. When my Quiver had been set on fire, I couldnt take it off. I quickly grabbed the nearest Kree warrior and headed for one of there ships. When I was far enough away from Wanda, I was able to take the quiver off. It exploded in mid air as I made sure myself and the kree warrior made it safely into the hanger bay. He vouched for me and I spent a few weeks with the them on that spaceship. Next thing I knew i woke back up on Earth and here I am in front of you. I wish I could tell you the same happened for your father....if it has, you have my word that we can go search for him."
He looks at the girl and smiles. Hes decided to be completely honest with her to make sure that nothing would be hidden. He wishes he knew if Scott was still alive.
"He would be proud of you Cassie. No matter what anyone says to you."

At least not until Cassie spoke. Then he cracked open an eye and eyed the guy as he explained something about something. Tommy wasn’t listening. He looked pretty good for a dead guy, in Tommy’s humble opinion. He would have expected more rot and stink and less moving and speaking without losing their lower jaw.
“I heard no one stays dead once they get a snazzy codename and costume, not that Hawkeye is snazzy." Tommy said finally, closing his eyes again. "But hey, that was very inspirational and heartwarming, really."

"You shouldnt move there speedy, you'll injure your sunny disposition."

She closed her eyes again. It didn't sound like her father could be alive, if he had to be far enough away from the Scarlet Witch. And if he was, he would have done everything he could to see her again. She would have heard from him by now.
Then Tommy spoke. "Shut up!" Cassie snapped, and wiped tears from her eyes before they could fall down her face.

"Cassie...I just want you to know that if Captain America will not train the Young Avengers, you guys have my bow."
He tries to smile to her but knows that thanks to what he said she wont be in the proper mindset again for a while.

Or maybe he was just going to vomit again. He wasn't entierly sure. Either way, he just wished the world would stop spinning.

He shifted his position on the vinyl-coated booth seat so that Billy could sit up if he wanted to, instead of laying there with the upper half of his body in Teddy's arms. "You okay? Scared the hell out of me when you passed out."
That was a terrible understatement; the sheer terror that had flooded his system when he'd caught Billy during his collapse had held on through the unfamiliar doctor's inspection of both himself and his boyfriend. He didn't think he was ever not going to react that way to seeing the other boy injured. He almost understood why dating within your superhero team was stupid, if it paralyzed reactions or caused you to go insane when you saw your other half injured. He'd had enough experience with that particular brand of panic to be quite certain how he himself overreacted.

He almost smiled, but smiling made his head hurt. "I'm cold." he whispered. "We made it back alright? Everyone's here?" He finally opened his eyes and tried looking around. This did not end well.
In fact, it ended in Billy turning on his side and dry heaving for a few minutes.
"It's a reaction headache." Rowena supplied helpfully. "You might want to hold still. Just a thought."

He had to do something. Or else he was just going to collapse or fall apart or say something he shouldn't.
He closed his eyes and tried to center himself. He was helping the others best by not having some sort of break-down.
The Vision grabbed the elbow of the albino man who had just escaped from Eliza's embrace. "[Tell me what I can do to help.]"
