Eliza peered over Victor's shoulder, one hand resting on her hip. "So it's not true? S'cuse me a minute, I need to close a bet." She reached over and pulled up her Favoites, going into an internet forum. She typed quickly in a thread titled "Teen Sex-Bot: Fact or Fiction", then closed it. "Nice to have that settled."

Billy was still chuckling quietly on the couch.

Victor gave Eliza a disbelieving expression. "We... we've got forums about us?" He gaped at the website Eliza had brought up, then realized he hadn't watched what she was typing. "I... I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt that you were on the RIGHT side of the bet."

He glared half-heartedly at the still laughing Billy. "And you can go to hell."

Teddy had finally found a napkin and was carefully wiping his mouth to hide his grin. He wondered if there were any sex-bot rumors about the Vision and who the rumors theorized that said Vision sex-bot was for.

Eliza gave Victor’s shoulder a conciliatory pat. “I wasn’t actually wagering. I’m just the bookie,” she said. “I’m Bookie24 on the Avengers Forum, in fact.”

Billy finally stopped chuckling, but only by not looking at the cyborg at all. He followed Teddy’s gaze towards the door, frowning slightly, then looked to Eliza. The girl shrugged. “I hear something, but I don’t hear them, so it’s probably Cyrus.”

"I don't like to take chances. I'll go check." She paused at the doorway and looked back at the group. "If I don't come back in a minute be sure to save me from whatever got me. If you don't I'm not saving you guys the next time you get captured."

"We'll keep that in mind," Billy deadpanned.

"Just don't scare Cyrus too badly," Eliza sighed. "It takes forever to coax him out of hiding, and it'll be your job to do it."

Victor got up from the computer, walking across the room to Cassie. "I'll go with, if you want." He looked around the room. He still felt like a probationary 'new hire', and as such wondered how much acting out without prompting would be welcome.

Eliza made a slightly annoyed noise and opened the door, thrusting her head out. "Cyrus, why are you lurking?" she demanded. "It's rude, and you know it."

Billy peered out the door and gave a small wave to his friend's pale cousin.

Well, that was a relief, even if it made Cassie look like an idiot. "He is wearing clothes, right?" She wasn't sure if she could take that much embarrassment and awkwardness in one day. Though honestly, she wasn't sure if she'd mind seeing a nude Cyrus right now.

"He is, for the moment," Eliza confirmed dryly.

Billy looked between the two girls, his eyebrows taking a hike for a hairline. "I'm afraid to ask," he said warily.

" 'He's wearing clothes, right'?" Teddy repeated incredulously as the tall boy in the hallway fidgeted. Well, no.

"Are you okay?" Teddy asked, climbing to his feet. The other boy was shaking like a leaf.

"'mfine." the pale boy replied, flinching back. "GrandmotheraskedmetocheckuponEliza. HiBilly,hiCassie,hiBilly'sboyfriendandMolly'sfriend."

"Teddy and Victor," Eliza corrected gently, putting a hand on Cyrus' back and giving him a very gentle push into the apartment. "Cyrus, honey? What's going on?" she asked gently, making 'don't come close' motions to the others and leading her cousin towards the little nook. "Have some soup. Tell me what's got Grandma all riled up today."

"It's not another attack or anything, is it?" Billy asked suspiciously, the whole 'is he wearing clothes this time' thing pushed temporarily out of his mind.

"TeddyandVictor." Cyrus repeated dutifully, flinching as his cousin hauled him out of the shadows. "GrandmothersaidtocheckonyouandthenfindCleo'smate,Ishouldgoandfindhim."

He blinked terrified red eyes at Eliza. "It'sSinesis. Grandmother'stakingmetohelp."

Eliza froze, staring up at her cousin for a very long moment. "She what? Has that woman finally lost what little is left of her diseased mind?" she said, her voice rising in a shriek.

"What? What?" Billy demanded. "What the hell-"

"That crazy old bitch wants to take Cyrus up against the evil Nazi bug bitch!" Eliza grabbed the end of her pony tail and pulled, making a frustrated noise. She took a few deep breaths, then smiled an entierly false smile. "Excuse me a moment. I need to go bash someone's head in."

Cyrus cringed into the wall, sinking to the floor and chanting apologies as he tried to make himself as small as possible.
