It was Billy's idea that they should meet up somewhere outside the Avengers Tower to talk. Some place where they wouldn't have God only knew who listening in on their conversations. Some place where they could relax

Cassie covered her mouth when she yawned. She knew she hadn't gotten enough sleep, she just didn't expect it to sneak up on her so suddenly.
"Maybe we should meet sometime else?" She managed to say before yawning again. "I think... I'd better go sleep and," She pushed her empty plate away. "Nevermind, I'll nap here." She folded her arms on the table and her face fell on top of them.
Tommy bit back a yawn and blinked at Cassie as she more or less passed out on the table. That was...unexpected to say the least of things. He shook his head, a little dismayed to find that he was really tired all of a sudden. Then again last night hadn't been peaceful and he'd been up since some point this morning and...
His thoughts trailed off as he leaned back and closed his eyes. Maybe Cassie had the right idea about that sleeping thing.
It shouldn't have been so crowded this time of day. That just kept nagging at Billy's mind as he found himself looking around with increasingly bleary eyes. Something felt... off. Teddy was starting to yawn beside him, and Billy felt like he'd just spent the whole night playing Runescape.
His eyes slid around the room, and he caught sight of Eliza... falling. Why wasn't anyone doing anything about it? He didn't see Mrs. Xanathos anywhere. And why the hell was he so...
"The hell...?" he asked as his head hit the table.
"[Cassie?]" the Vision asked, reaching out and shaking the girl's shoulder. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Tommy lean back in his seat, eyelids fluttering as they closed.
Kate thought she heard Billy say something, but things were getting fuzzy so she wasn't sure. It had been a long day on not a lot of sleep if she was honest, and everyone... but shouldn't someone stay awake in case some pickpocket tried...?
She blinked oh so slowly. This wasn't right at all. She'd just rest a bit and then try to figure out what was going on. Poor little Cassie, giving in already... Kate thought. She tried to drop her sherbet on Cassie's head to wake her up, but it hit her arm instead--oh, my blouse...--and Kate found herself sliding down the booth seat into blankness.
The Vision scrambled out of the booth, looking around frantically.
"[Mr. Stark,]" he murmured, "[I know that you've planted something on me and you're listening in. Something's wrong. Everyone's fallen unconscious. Please hurry.]"
The Vision picked up the nearest Young Avenger (Kate, as it turned out) and slung her over one shoulder, altering his density to utilize superstrength. He reached for Cassie next. He didn't think that he could carry everyone at once. But he wasn't about to leave anyone behind.
The Vision checked to make sure that no ones' elbows were poking into sensitive portions of anyone else's anatomies. Everyone seemed to be breathing normally, sleeping deeply.
There was no warning before the blast that sent him sprawling through the back wall into the kitchen. And he had no control as he began to seize.
/"Heh. The robot was nice enough to gather them all up for us."/ he thought he heard a voice say before everything went black.
Zack noticed the smoke filling the room. He looked around, watching everyone (except one of Billy's friends, oddly enough) drop like flies. 'Hehehe, gas. That's funny. Gas can't affect doesn't affect me!'
Except when he started feeling light-headed, he knew he was in trouble. 'Damn, this sh*t is potent!'
That was the last thing he thought before falling face first into his cup of frappe, leaving a face-shaped crater on the counter.
But there weren’t any small animals, and no one’s ears were quite that well tuned.
Slowly, the knockout gas began to do its work.

Then Billy passed out. And Teddy did the same.
The Vision was not going to panic.

[]It's a synthoid, idiot. Fire an EMP and take the children. I don't need the robot or the old lady.[]
[]Doctor?[]
[]If I want a damn robot, I'll make one myself. I want the children. Just the children. How hard is it to get that through your thick skull?[]
[]Apologies. We will do as you say.[]
