Kat Farrell was not having a particularly good day. There were times when she well and truly hated covering the super-human beat for the Bugle

Clint had left the tower early that day to go home and change. After all the excitement and weirdness, he figured one less body would help the situation. He laughed at the fact that Tony and Steve were probably being driven insane.
He parked the glider behind the building and walked out front, seeing secruty pushing a young woman outside. He walked over and decided to help.
"There a problem here boys? Or do you two enjoy pushing around those who are smaller than you?"
Kat tugged her jacket straight with an indignant sniff as the two security guards released her. She stumbled backwards a bit, tottering on her heels and pushed her glasses up her nose as the two security guards looked first at Clint, then at each other, then at her.
"Mr. Stark's orders. Ms. Farrell is not allowed in the building."
"You can't keep me out!" Kat snapped, tugging on the press pass around her neck.
"Yes, actually we can. Goodbye, Ms. Farrell." The two guards stepped back inside, leaving Kat to fume for a moment before she actually got a look at Clint. Then her mind very abruptly changed directions. "You're Clint Barton," she said.
"Ah Tony said you could beat up woman huh? I guess I'll have to tell him about this later."
Clint smirked over at Kat and then paused. He had a grin on his face, which usually meant he was up to no good.
"Guilty as charged ma'am, might I ask of which beautiful reporter I am talking to?"
He had read an editorial when he first came back about everything that happened with Wanda. It was the usual Bugle insulting fluff piece, but he noticed the picture of the woman that had wrote it. She was that woman. He just couldn't remember her name.
"Kat Farrell, Daily Bugle," Kat said, pulling out her notebook and pencil with the speed of long practice. "Care to give a statement on why the Avengers reported that you died?" She met his eyes directly, pencil hovering over the notepad as she waited for an answer.
So heroes seemed to come back from the dead all the time. It wasn't going to be the biggest story out there. But by God, an interview with Clint Barton, one of the few non-powered members of the Avengers! Now, that would be quite the little scoop.
He smiled again. He figured he could try to explain the situation the best he could. I mean when your best friend attempts to blow you up, then you get stuck on an alien spacecraft, and then come back to Earth as if it never happened. Theres an easy way to explain that right?
"I can do more than that for you Kat, you want to go grab a bite to eat? I know a nice little place down the street. Tony and Captain America probably don't need me for a while longer. You just have to promise me something?"
Suddenly, Kat's day was looking much better indeed. She tucked her pencil behind her ear and her notepad back in her bag, looking Clint up and down. "Depends. What is it?"
"Well no offense to the Bugle, but when I was still an avenger, you guys painted us in a negative light. You have to promise me that every word I say during this interview, is printed as its said. Not taken out of context or anything?"
Clint wasn't going to mention wanda, he would still protect her. Most of the public didn't know about anything that happened, he wanted to keep it that way. He smirked and started walking.
"So you coming, or ar you going to make this Avenger eat by himself?"
Kat nodded, sticking the notepad back into her bag. "It's a deal." She gestured for Clint to lead on, since he seemed to have an idea of where he wanted to go. And Kat was not one to turn down a meal at someone else's expense. She smoothed her hair down and found herself wishing, for just a moment, that she had the chance to freshen her make-up. She hadn't really had time to do more than brush her hair and clean her face before she'd been working Mutant Town, and she'd been too busy since then.
Clint smirked and like the gentleman he was, walked over to Kat and took her by the arm. THey walked for a little while until the stopped a few blocks over at a quiet little pizza place named, Vincentios. Clint pulled out a chair for Kat and then walked over and sat down himself.
"Nothing with pinapple or anchovies," Kat said firmly. "Otherwise, anything goes. Surprise me, Masked Man." She grinned up at him just a bit, pushing her glasses back up her nose with one finger.
Alright, so this wasn't the least little bit professional. But she didn't really care all that much. Despite how much she really, truely loved her job, Kat didn't actually get to have that much fun doing it.
Kat had her notebook out again, pencil poised above the paper. "How about your aparent death and return? The Avengers released a statement saying that you had died. Was this in fact a deliberate attempt at misleading the public as to your status?"
Kat had been watching Clint and writing down every word he said at the same time. Not that anyone would have actually been able to read what she was writing but her. She'd picked up the habit of writing in a short hand code back when she'd been keeping a diary full of things she hadn't wanted her family to actually know, and it continued to serve her well.
"So does your reappearance have anything to do with the sightings of Kree warships over New York over the past month?" she asked, snagging a quick bite of pizza.
"Actually, I've been back for a few months now. I ended up taking control of a small kree fighter cruiser and crash landing somewhere in Jersey. I just decided to take some time off. Sure, its not very responsible of me, but after what I went through? A hero needs a break, don't you think?"
He takes another bite from his pizza, completely ingoring all the other madness that occured.
Kat drummed her pencil on her notepad. "So, what are your impressions of how things have changed since you where last on Earth? Any thoughts on the new Avengers line up? Will you be returning to the team, or do you plan to continue your hiatus for a while?" She managed to finish off an entier slice of pizza between questions.

He looks over to her and smiles.
"You ok?"

Clint turned his attention back to Ms. Farrel who he was actually very intrigued by.
