I can already tell you that this is going to be a fairly lengthy entry...since I haven't updated in about a month, and I have a lot of things on my mind at the moment ( Read more... )

Yah! Final Fantasy IV & VI > All others :D
Let's forget the fact I haven't played anything beyond VII..! haha. I don't even have the game systems XD But I seriously love those games.. one of the girls here in the dorm has a Super Famicom and even has FFVI so we play it sometimes.. so much fun! oh, the nostalgia! XD

Good luck with the college situation! I do hope you get into UW though because, from the looks of it, it's a lot easier to go to a Japanese school through an exchange program with a uni like that because you have people who will help you with everything and have done it hundreds of times before and know what they're doing (usually!)

For other international universities, I've heard of Sophia in Tokyo and Doshisha in Kyoto... although I'm not so sure about Sophia - it sounds like they have a seperate campus for international students. That made me not want to consider it really, where's the fun in that? I've heard good things about Doshisha though... and Kyoto sounds like a nice place... just some more options to think about ^^

You know...I just noticed that. Switch over to Jocoso! Then you can comment on Sonim and Sato Eri's (Herme's friend in Densha) blogs!

Final Fantasy VII > All others xD

But that's just me...although I like the old school FF's, the modern ones aren't too bad either. You should definitely give VIII a try. I liked it a lot, just because it was so different from all other FF's. You might like IX, since it went back to its traditional roots; although I didn't like it too much. XII is looking REALLY good, though! \:D/

Thanks, I hope I get into the UW as well. I'll definitely look up on Doshisha as well. Yeah, I wouldn't mind staying in Kyoto. Perhaps I can meet AL KUSANAAAAAGI! From my experience though, I always thought it was too hot down there.

Would you mind giving me tuition costs and whatnot at ICU? Or is it a lot cheaper since you're going through UCLA?

I don't have exact figures, really - since I went through UCLA, they took the tuition money directly out of the financial aid money I recieved. BUT, you pay the exact same amount in tuition as UCLA... money-wise, it's like you're not going anywhere. Only as far as tuition, though ^^;

I'm living in the dorms because it's really convenient and was cheap compared to other options... and it turned out to be way cheaper than I expected. I paid around $1000 for the fall quarter ONLY. No meal plans or anything at ICU though, so you do have to buy food and stuff on your own. (They do have a dining hall, but you have to pay)

If you entered ICU on your own... I actually don't know how much it would be. It might be listed on their site, though? It should be XD
