Hey, thanks for the message! I actually did buy a 62 II around...September I think. A little after that entry was posted, and I forgot to update. But I did get a payment plan, and a really great deal on it. But thanks so much for wanting to help. =)

And Lady Gaga was the first song of the year for me. x_x When it turned 2010, my friends put on "Poker Face." Ugh. It helped that we listened to some Lamb of God afterward....

Ah! That's good, then. :D I'm glad you found exactly what you were looking for at a good price. And it's no problem, I saw it while searching for a new case and thought about the entry. XD

Hah, my first song of the year was Gunther's "Tutti Frutti Summer Love". My friends have a fun taste in music. :P Anyway, I'm glad that you got the 62 <3 How does it play? I'm thinking of getting one in the future, if I improve.

Oh, the thing plays GREAT. It's positively beautiful in appearance and plays in tune very well. A nice tone, and easy to blow. =) You should definitely think about one.

Oh, absolutely. I'm using a YAS-23 currently, and even though it's just a beginner model, I'm very happy with it. Yamaha's saxophones really are great. C: Out of curiousity, did you get the silver-plating, or just the normal gold?

I just got the normal gold. Although I sometimes wish I'd gotten the silver, I don't regret it much. The gold is an absolutely beautiful finish. The silver was selling $150 more, and they wouldn't take payments on it. So I got the gold finish at another store. And I'm happy I did.

Yamaha DOES make great models. I played on a school-owned alto all of last year, but I'm not sure what make it was.... It played wonderfully. And of course I always play Yamaha baris. =D

I've seen both versions in store, and I find them to be very impressive instruments. <3 Really pleasing to the eye, and from the demos, they have a good sound to them. I remember trying to work with a Jupiter alto earlier this year, and having many issues with the keys. :C Then I found the Yamaha, and I haven't had any issues at all. <3 I think that if I ever take up Tenor or another type of saxophone, I'll stick with Yamaha. They really produce reliable instruments, and usually at good prices. :D

And by the way...Do you play for a marching band, or some form of concert band?

Yeah, Yamahas are very reliable!

I do play in a marching band. I have played in it all four years of high school. I played alto my freshman year, tenor my sophomore year, and I was drum major the past two years, which was really cool. I plan to continue in college. =) It's so much fun.

I started alto sax in fifth grade, in seventh grade played bari.... Played bari all throughout until my junior year, when I switched to alto, and now I'm back on bari. I play tenor and alto in pep band. =D
I pretty much play every opportunity I get.
