Yes, the nightmare is over. By which I mean, I am done with finals. ...Thank god. Soon I shall return to eating, sleeping, having the exercise, and not flipping out twenty four seven.
Note to self! Here are some things I must do today:
Write for EW, make Mass Panic cartoons, watch ELF on the TV, watch Hellsing with the brother.
Which reminds me, I have to work eight and a half hour shifts on Christmas Eve AND Christmas day!! ARRRRR! But on the bright side, I get time and a half, so that's like two hundred bucks in two days. Baby I'm a Rich Man. neer neer neer neer <- crashing guitars
Also, I had a dream last night that I woke up in my bed and I was turning into an animal. It started out with my feet, which became very long and turned into the hind paws of a wolf or some such creature. There was fur growing all over my back and the rest of me, and pretty soon my fingers and my face began to change as well. I remember that when it was done, I wanted to go back to sleep, to roll over like usual and go back to sleep. But I couldn't get in the familiar position because my limbs were all of the wrong proportion now. I wanted to pull the blanket up around my shoulders and put my head on my pillow, but without thumbs I coudln't grab the blanket. I tried grabbing it in my teeth and rolling up in it like a burrito or something, but that didn't work either because then my feet stuck out the other end, and I didn't like being wrapped up. Finally, I got up on my mattress and stomped the blankets down with my feet, and turned around in a circle until they were just a sort of lumpy circular soft spot. I lay down on the blankets and put my tail over my nose and tried to go to sleep, but smells were keeping me up all night. Smells of old food, of myself, of everything in the room. So I jumped up to find something to do, and instead ended up looking around my room. TV? Loud and confusing. Computer? Mysterious and, without fingers, ultimately useless. Guitar? Again, no fingers. Everything I own seems to have a button or knob or electrical thingy in it that I worry will shock me or bite me. I have some action figures up on a bookshelf... but again, they're very high up and even if I could reach, they're only good for chewing on. I looked at the lightswitch, which was pretty high up and very small. The knob on the door was fumbly and indecipherable. I slowly went back to my bed and tried to fall asleep, assuming a panopoly of only mildly satisfying postures.
But that was last night. When I awoke this morning, I was as human as ever. But it is a strange thing to dream I think. ...Although I do dream it on a fairly regular basis. That, or these things actually happen, which makes me a werewolf of some kind. Which would kick ass.
Nein, I don't believe that.
Anyway, now I'm rambling. It's the middle of the afternoon and I still have one more class tonight. I will head down downtown to do a little Xmas shopping and maybe pick up a copy of Ginger Snaps 3. Katherine Isabelle = boyoyoyoyoing.
