Well, that was easy enough. Asked a question, got an answer. Not really the one I wanted, but not the one I expected.
Other fun things:
Someone forgot to put up an application a week ago like they said they would for me.
*Glare* So I get to wait another 144 hours-ish before I find out if my vacation on Asura is permanent or not.
The worst part about swapping servers is having to break out and meet new people. Part of why a lot of people in XI are loathe to go to any other MMO is the social aspect, you can't 'replace' a person after all. And server transfers are almost exactly like that. Unless you know many people on the server where you are going, its almost like starting a new game.
I say almost because you still retain all the time you've invested before hand. And it'll get better, if anything I view this like 2005 when shells(guilds) where breaking left and right due to a poorly implemented expansion and WoW. A lot of people I knew have quit before, sometimes leaving me back at square one as far as enjoying my time goes.
This is just another one of those times, and its not even the worst as far as boring goes.
