New PC build
I finished upgrading my old PC yesterday. I pretty much replaced every single component except for the case and optical drive, and also my old 320 GB HDD that I will use as a backup. So that means new motherboard, new cpu, new gpu, new powerunit, new RAM, etc, etc. Final specs for my new desktop :
CPU: Core i7-870 2.93 ghz
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3
GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 460 1GB DDR5
RAM: G.SKILL DDR3 4GB RM 1600 Ripjaws
HDD: Samsung 1 TB 7200 rpm buffer 32 mb
Power Supply: Cooler Master GX Real 750W
OS - Windows 7 Pro
Retained components:
Case - some generic Cooler Master Centurion case
Optical Drive - ASUS DVD+R/-RW 24x 24B1ST int
Backup HDD - Seagate 320 GB buffer 16 mb

Now comes the time consuming part of reinstalling everything again. ~_~;; As for games, it seems like I missed out on the FFXIV Collector's Edition pre-order so I'll have to wait until 30 September to pick up a regular copy. What a shame...I was hoping that FFXIV be the first game to inaugurate my new desktop, but instead that honor now goes to Civilization V..buhahaha! And let me tell you, Civ5 isn't just a great game; it's a drug!! Must have more Civ5!
