Preparing to go

Dec 30, 2006 06:00

I'm by now more or less set on my course for travelling: I leave Denmark for Thailand 28th of february, then go to China on the 25th of april and a couple of weeks later, travel by train back to Europe (Moscow, to be exact). How I get back from there... I don't know... probably not by train.

Other than planning travel, I'm spending all my time working. Travelling is expensive, and I need to build up a considerable stash of cash before I go anywhere. I am sooooooo looking forward to getting away from everything and everyone for a while.

For the rest of the country, this seems to be Week of Gluttony. That's right, christmas has come and gone, new years is a couple of days of yet, and everyone seemingly enjoys the holidays, stuffing themselves to the limits of their capacity. My winter depression has reared it's head and uttered an opinion of these so-called holidays, which I choose not to relay. Suffice it to say that it was long, and whiney beyond the capacity of words to convey (actully, this kind of opinion is best communicated through song from the top of a cathedral, preferably with a couple of back-up singers to underline especially gloomy passages).

And with that: Happy new year!
